little brother

This little man has stolen the hearts of many.

After spending a while in the NICU he is healthy and finally home with his sweet family.

His mom had the perfect 'coming home' outfit picked out for him but his siblings would have nothing to do with it and insisted on this adorable little onesie that simply said 'little brother'.

It doesn't get sweeter than that.

He was such a good baby that was eager to take in the world around him and as long as he had his binki he was content with anything that came his way.

His aunt also made the blanket he is on.  I love when clients bring little special touches that give pictures more personality and allows them to tell a story.  Love.

Thanks for letting me enjoy your little man, what a treat!

typical saturday morning.

Doesn't everyone 

lay in bed,

in their undies,

and laugh their guts out

on Saturday mornings?

That's normal,

right?

All it takes is a little Rain and a lot of Mud

Never underestimate the power of mud.

My cute friend, Sarah, had the most g.e.n.i.u.s idea to entertain and capture her boys being... well, boys.

We waited patiently for the crazy Vegas weather to cooperate and give us just a little bit of rain.  Once Fall finally realized that October had arrived and it was indeed time for a season change the storm clouds rolled in and we were ecstatic.  And the boys, beyond words.

They were beyond excited and so much fun to watch.  I was the mean mom that made my kids watch jealously from the car until I realized that I wanted to be splashing in the mud too and so let them loose.  My boys stripped their shirts off and rolled, splashed, and squished in the mud until their hearts were content.

It is the small moments that seem to plant themselves so deeply in my heart.  The moments that make me smile.  The moments that I can hear my boys laughter ring in my ears.  The simple moments... that seem even better when accompanied by mud and friends.

It is amazing how easy it can be to make a little boy happy.  All it takes is a little rain, an extra change a clothes and a nice warm bath waiting at home.

The perfect mix

So he is now a whole 6 months old.

A windy Vegas wedding

The day for Emily and Dylan finally arrived.  After much preparation, thought and effort all the pieces and details fell into place.  The only one that didn't get the memo was the wind.  The wind howled all.day.long.   I felt so bad for Emily, who worked so hard to make everything perfect, but she showed no signs of disappointment because she was finally married to the man of her dreams.

 They are such a fun couple and so perfect for each other.  They laughed, they played, they kissed, they stared at each other with googley eyes... it was perfect. 

Emily's details were perfect.  Her bouquet was exquisite.... and it smelled pretty too.  She was absolutely stunning.

And Dylan, he was hilarious.  Such a good sport and so willing to just go with the flow.  There is nothing like having a sense of humor and his was better than ever.

I was also lucky enough to have Sarah Goodsell come along and snap some shots as well.  Such a blast. Check out the fun details she captured here.  She is awesome.

Emily also had all of her friends be her "Something in blue."  She sent them all invitations asking them to be her special something in blue and that she wanted them to show their own personalities with their dresses.  Genius.  They were fantastic girls!

It was a beautiful day.  The only bad part... it's over.  It is always sad when, after months of working together, the wedding comes to an end and I don't get to chat with my cute brides anymore... At least that is until they have a baby :)

Congrats Emily and Dylan, you two are perfect for each other!

Meet Emily and Dylan.

One of the most fun, talented, and easy going couples you will ever meet.

He is a lawyer and she is now a nurse... yes they will have incredibly intelligent children.

It was so much fun to get to know them by getting information about one from the other.  

Dylan spilled the beans about Emily being invited to come to Juilliard to study.

Emily couldn't hold back her admiration for Dylan's cycling talents and ambitions. 

Once again, yes, they will have incredibly talented children.

Their loved oozed for one another.  They are so sweet to each other but still have fun joking and playing together.  Such a perfect match.

Emily totally rocked her bridal session.  Her dress was beautiful.  Her flowers were amazing.  And her energy was contagious. 

They have been such a dream to work with.  Can't wait to share all the details from their big day... it was beautiful!

A Birth Story- Baby Gage

I pretty much have the best job... ever.  Photographing births is one of my very most favorite things to do.  It is so exciting.  It is so emotional.  It is so spiritual.  It is so empowering.  It is so beautiful.

And Sarah did an amazing job!

 The poor thing had to put up with a grouchy nurse, a long night, and all the usual crazy birth ups and downs.  But she still smiled and enjoyed the ride.  She is an amazing woman and an incredible mommy.

The proud mommy and daddy welcomed a beautiful baby boy, the third to their brood of boys, on April 8, 2011 at 10:36 a.m.

 He is beautiful and perfect in every way.  It was so much fun to watch his mommy and daddy stand in awe of him, to soak him in, and to cover him in kisses.

Welcome to the world baby Gage!

Congratulations Sarah and Trevor, he is perfect!

baby {B}

Meet adorable baby {B}.  Pretty much smitten by this little guy and his adorable little fohawk.

I am a little partial to fohawks... and the letter B for that matter and this little guy carries both of them well!  

His daddy is rather in love with soccer and really quite good from all that I hear.

And with baby {B's} cute long legs I am sure he is destined to be quite the soccer player as well.

He also has a big sis that is absolutely, undeniably, totally in love with him.  She loved to watch him have his pictures taken, help her mommy get his binkis, blankets, and diapers, and of course smother him with kisses.

 And then there is his mama... isn't she beautiful!?  Seriously, amazing.

So there you have it, baby {B}.  So adorable.  So lovable and so so so kissable!  I mean just look at those lips... don't they just scream "give me kisses!"  Love it!

She Did it Again...

Not only can this little lady Rock some serious heels but she also madly in love with her Handsome Prince Charming.

It was so much fun to spend time with these two.  Not only were they total naturals in front of the camera they were also so sweet together.  We headed up to the temple to get some "wedding pictures."  Even though they wont be sealed for another 3 weeks we were able to get all the details out of the way so they can just enjoy their actual day.

Can't wait for the actual wedding day to get here so I can capture more of their fairy tale!  And so all the planning will be over for them and they will finally get to head off into the sunset together!
